Application

Open the Application page to create new applications and view messages about the system. If you need to test a trip, click the Route Evaluation Application tool link.

Starting a New Application

  1. Navigate to the Application screen by clicking the Application link on the Main Link Bar.

  1. If you are a permit service user, To find a permittee, use any of the following options:

    1. Enter at least three letters in the Permittee field then select a permittee name from the list or

    2. Enter either the US DOT number in the DOT Number field or

    3. The Account ID number in the Account ID field.

  2. In the Select a Permit Type area, choose from the available options.

    1. A new Application page opens with the carrier-specific information automatically populated.

 

 

Route Evaluation Tool

Use the Route Evaluation Application tool to plan and evaluate your route.

  1. Click the Route Evaluation link to open an abbreviated application page.

  1. In the Travel Dates area, click the calendar icons to choose both a From Date and a To Date.

  1. In the Load Information area, expand Conveyance and the Description drop-down and choose from the available options, then enter the Overall Vehicle Dimensions in the fields provided. Also, select the appropriate option for hire check if the permittee a for-hire motor carrier when moving any loads under this permit.

  2. In the Vehicle Information area, select the Vehicle type, Power Unit make, license state and type from dropdown menu before entering the License Number, VIN and Model year. Select the appropriate option between yes/no for the booster unit.

  1. In the Overall Vehicle Dimensions area enter the Overall Vehicle Dimensions in the fields provided and supply the Number of Axles.

  2. Slide the Progress Bar to Trip.
